Holiday villa Can Melcion is a charming historic villa with extensive grounds, beautiful gardens, pool and tennis court in Pollensa.
Historic Villa Can Melcion is a 16th century farmhouse which formerly acted as an olive-pressing facility for the nearby olive groves. Today, it is hard to imagine a villa with a more idyllic setting, surrounded by 175 acres of grounds, beautiful gardens, and the forests and mountains beyond.
Can Melcion’s outdoor spaces are among the most charming to be found anywhere, comprising shady terraces perfect for al fresco dining; a swimming pool carved into the hillside and surrounded by sun loungers, palm trees and pots of colourful flowers; its own orange grove down by the river, and private tennis court. There are plenty of excellent hikes which lead straight from the front door, through the oak forests and up into the rugged peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana which surround the villa.
The villa’s traditional interiors make ample use of terracotta floors and exposed wooden beams, and it is air conditioned throughout, providing respite from the heat of the middle of the day. There is a billiards room and television room to keep the children occupied, and the airy and spacious open plan layout is perfect for families wanting to spread out.
Villa Can Melcion enjoys a wonderfully peaceful and private location in a forested valley, where the only sound to be heard is the soft jangling of bells around the sheep’s necks. Yet, it is just a short drive from the stunning beaches and coves of the north coast, and the bustling markets of Pollença.
