Helena Bednorz (Helena B. Klaus) was born in Ukraine in 1983 and has lived in Germany since 1996. After completing her art studies in 2004 with a focus on painting, Helena worked as an assistant to the Pop Art artist Hermann Reichold until 2009.
Since then, she has been represented internationally with her works in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
The common thread of her artistic work can be seen in the representation of the human body in the form of facial expressions, gestures and body language. The integration of pictorial motifs ranges from socialist realism to playful depictions of flowers to abstract and non-representational backgrounds. The last series of paintings shows offensive motifs that communicate with the viewer through expressive body language.
